FOURTEEN YEARS OF SUPPORT HAS PAID OFF…
The inaugural Links for Lupus Golf Tournament commenced in September of 2000, on a green in Charlotte, North Carolina. Founded by our family and late father Bill Little, Links for Lupus, has been helping to raise money for the Lupus Foundation of America (LFA) because lupus has touched our family personally with the diagnosis of two of our sisters. With the support of LITTLE, our partner from inception, the last thirteen years of the tournament have raised more than $419,000 for the LFA. The LFANC envisions a world without lupus. With these funds, the LFA, North Carolina Chapter has helped advance the science and medicine of lupus to ultimately find a cure and improve the quality of life for all people affected by lupus.
Lupus is one of the cruelest, most mysterious diseases on earth--it strikes without warning, has unpredictable, sometimes fatal effects, lasts a lifetime, and has no known cause and no known cure. It is more pervasive than people think, and impacts people on a scale that the public does not realize. People like you are now becoming aware of how urgently resources are needed to fight lupus, and to help those who suffer from it. If you join the fight, we will not have to concede victory to this terrible disease. If you join the fight, we will be able to solve the cruel mystery of lupus in our lifetime and end its devastating impact on millions of lives.
This is why we thank you for the last 13 years of support and hope you will join us in celebrating with an afternoon of golf with a purpose. The 14th Annual Links for Lupus Golf Tournament will be held on Monday, August 25, 2014 at Cedarwood Country Club in Charlotte.
Please remember that we have a limited number of spaces and sponsorship packages, which means try and sign up as soon as possible. To reserve your sponsorship package, please register by Friday, August 15, 2014.
If you can't join us this year, we ask you to consider helping us to improve the lives of those who are affected by lupus in one of the following ways:
Once again, thanks for your continued support of the important work that the LFA does every day. We appreciate your consideration and look forward to seeing you at Links for Lupus on August 25.
