Due to renovations this year's tournament has been pushed back a few weeks to allow the completion of course renovations. We look forward to having you still join us.

Currently, Cedarwood Country Club is undergoing exciting golf course renovations to further improve the aesthetics and playability of their course.

Renovations include a transition of putting surfaces from Bent Grass to Bermuda Grass for a more true and consistent putting surface throughout the year. They are also rebuilding the Sand Bunkers with a new "Better Billy Bunker System" to provide a more consistent bunker playing condition.

Built in 1964, Cedarwood Country Club has enjoyed a rich heritage. Cedarwood as designed by noted golf course architect Ellis Maples, famed for his work at Grandfather Mountain and the Country Club of North Carolina at Pinehurst, and was restored by Kris Spence in 2005. The course stretches out to over 6,900 yards from the Black Tees, and wanders over rolling terrain dotted with hardwoods, cedars, and lovely ponds. The fairways are lush Bermuda, the greens are bent grass. Not only has Cedarwood enjoyed a rich history, but the club is poised to move into the future as one of the best values in the Charlotte area.

It is very much a traditional course, playable by people of all ages. The course is walkable with all the challenges placed in front of you with no tricked up features like many of the new courses today. Like any great course, it gives you risk-reward choices throughout the round. This characteristic makes the course pleasurable and challenging to golfers of all ages and abilities levels.

Whether you are a beginner or accomplished player the Cedarwood offers something for everyone.
